Why does it seem like a good idea for women in short skirts to dance on tables?

Not that I'm complaining or anything... Last night a friend of mine and a friend from law school went to a bar where they were holding "naughty school girl night." I didn't know this was the theme until I had been there for a while, but the scenery was entertaining. At some point some lady decided to get up on a table and dance, and no one seemed to think this was a bad idea.

Now, don't get me wrong. Good looking 20 something women in short skirts standing in such a way that I get a constant view of garments they wouldn't normally display to random people IS, most decidedly, my idea of a good time. It just seems that alcohol is likely to reduce such a woman's balance such that standing on a small, unstable, wooden table in a crowded room is probably dangerous. Add high heels and it might be suicidal. No one, including the bouncers, seemed to agree with me. I didn't stay too long after the show began, but I didn't see anyone moving to stop the scene either.

Watta way to come back after months away, huh?
