Workers of the world unite!!

Remember Karl Marx? It's about time a lot more people started remembering him.

These new overtime rules basically mean that if you earn minimum wage you don't get overtime. They also provide maximum incentive to corporations to provide low-paying, part-time jobs with no benefits. They also provide an ADDITIONAL out, by allowing companies through creative job-definition to avoid paying overtime to otherwise eligible people.

We have a lot of problems in this country. The ones that scare me the most are disparate incomes, dynastic perpetuation of wealth, lack of adequate health care for many people, and a constant decline in the central importance of family. These new overtime rules perpetuate and exacerbate all of these problems, and ensure that parents have to spend even less time with their gun-toting, drug using, soon to be pregnant kids, as well as having even less money to devote to their welfare.

Just wait until I see a good article on preventative detention...
